Overview
Raskin Law Group provides sophisticated business counsel focusing on companies and issues in technology and new media. Patricia Raskin, the founder and principal of Raskin Law Group, has over 14 years experience working at some of the most respected law firms and representing some of the world’s largest technology and new media companies. Clients include Fortune 100 companies as well as closely held and venture backed businesses.

Philosophy
Patricia places a very high value on developing longstanding, mutually rewarding relationships with her clients and business contacts. She believes that providing solid legal counsel requires not only that she provide skilled legal analysis, but also that she becomes a trusted advisor who performs as an integrated part of her clients’ business teams. When necessary to meet client needs, Patricia calls on her large network of professionals with other expertise to assist her clients, including employment, securities and patent lawyers, and business development, accounting and tax professionals.

Background
Patricia received her J.D. from the University of Washington. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Languages & Literature from the University of Washington. After graduating from law school in 1995, Patricia worked with the business and technology practice groups at Davis Wright Tremaine and at Cairncross & Hempelmann prior to founding, in 2003, Raskin Snodgrass & Kearns, a business and technology boutique practice, and in 2009, Raskin Law Group. Before starting her career as a lawyer, Patricia worked in public relations and marketing in Taipei, Taiwan. From 1999 to 2000, Patricia founded and managed a contemporary art consulting company. She speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese.

Patricia was recognized by her peers as a “Super Lawyer” (top 5% of lawyers) in the areas of intellectual property and business law in 2007 and as one of the “Rising Stars of Washington Law” in 2005 (as reported by Washington Law & Politics).
